David Bister has in the past worked with most major developers & small developers in England and provided both a full Architectural service or under a Design and build contract novated to provide robust construction drawings and specifications either as a complete package or as individual works packages for tendering to sub-contractors.

Whether it is housing, residential apartments, office conversion or mixed use, Bister Architecture can provide a robust architectural service tailored to your needs and requirements.

We have extensive materials, components & building systems experience which has allowed us to provide innovative and cost effective solutions compared to more traditional forms of construction whilst maintaining quality and reducing time on site.

For existing buildings that are listed or in a conservation area we have experience of converting pubs, churches, banks & old schools to residential and/or apartments or mixed use with retail or restaurants below.

For the professional developers highly detailed drawings and specification are a necessity to providing a detailed forecast/budget estimate of the contract value and optimising the program, for funding purposes and reducing the risk during the contract, and with our wealth of experience we can add value to any project.

We have experience in incorporating the following - Code for Sustainable Homes (Code 3/4), Lifetime Homes, Buildings for Life, into projects and would endeavour to incorporate any other special requirements placed in the contract.

Sustainability has become a hot topic in the building industry in recent years and we will endeavour to guide and advice our clients on what is available and achievable for their project and the environment.

Under D & B contracts we normally take on the lead consultant & co-ordinator roles however additional services can be added for a more rounded service such as part 2 brief for funding parties, bathroom and kitchen design, presentation drawings for marketing, title drawings.

Bister Architecture has embraced BIM and has invested in Autodesk Building Design Suite Premium which contains both Revit and AutoCAD, and we maintain our subscription to Autodesk yearly which means that we are industry compatible with most consultants to co-ordinate services.
